bust length portrait of older man, wearing suit with high collared shirt and faintly patterned waistcoat. The sitter has white hair and prominent jowls. Nineteenth century portraiture, realism. Signed "B" in plate (lower right), undated. Collectors Stamp of Alexis Rouart (L. 2187a), lower right.
