Description:
Straight-sided, thrown, circular, redware jar with canted shoulders, outward flaring, rounded lip, large circular mouth, edge of pot is slightly beaded, flat unglazed, base, coated with dark brownish-black lead glaze, on bottom of pot, inscribed "Col. Philadelphia/Pa. 1914." Condition: Large losses to lower edge of pot, surface side of jar is very scratched, some soluble salts efflorescence on the lower base. Originally part of the Burton N. Gates Collection.
