Description:
Both sides of the coin exhibit Chinese merchant chop marks used to authenticate the coin while in circulation in Asia.
Obverse: Shield of Castile and León with crown flanked by MM to the left and 8 to the right
Obverse legend: HISPAN.ET IND.REX FERDND.VI.D
Reverse: Central crown over dual globes showing western and eastern hemispheres between crowned and bannered pillars with the legened PLUS and VTRA.
Reverse legend: VTRAQUE VNUM above 1756 flanked by M[exic]O mint mark
Edge: Laural leaf design
