Description:
With jug (2013.30.1); Circular wash bowl or basin for holding water for washing; the bowl has a deep well, broad, flat, flaring rim; and an applied foot rim; decorated under the glaze in cobalt blue enamel in a painted floral design; the design depicts stylized flowers, leaves, and branches, there is a large abstract flower in the center of the design, the design is composed of lighter and darker shades of cobalt blue; a thin line of blue enamel edges the middle of the applied foot rim; the piece is not marked. There is a chip to the underside of the rim, and a hairline crack on the underside of the rim.
