Description: A night scene depicting different groups of fleeing people against a background of flames. On the proper left, a woman with her hands over her face is grabbed around the chest by a man seen from behind. In the center, two men carry a bare-chested woman who appears to have fainted. To the right, a man carries an old man on his back, a woman seen from behind runs to the right, and a man falls to the ground, all in front of a number of people with only their faces visible. In the distant background there is a group of small figures silhouetted against the flames.
