Description: A soldier in uniform stands, legs apart, in the center, holding a sword in his right hand and the sword's sheath in his left. Behind him, to the proper right, a man is hung by the neck from a tree while another soldier, face obscured, pulls on his legs. Behind this hung man, two more bodies hang from the tree. To the left of the soldier in the foreground, two more soldiers are huddled over a mound.
