Label Text:
In her work, Feshbach creates a visual interpretation in response to phrases she finds in poetry or fiction. To translate others’ words into images invoked in her mind, she often relies on collage in order to render the complexity of associations that arise. This layering in turn allows her to study what she refers to as “the complementary beauty of nature existing in two different zones.” The current work borrows the title from Colette Inez’s poem of the same name, and was published in the 1993 artist’s book Parallels Artists/Poets, which explored the relationship between words and images.
