Description:
Re-engraved copy of Sauthier's "A Map of the Province of New York" (London, 1776) by Homann Heirs of Nuremberg. Variant title at top of map: Carte Geographique des Provinces Neu-York et Neu-Jersey en Amerique. The map shows the area between Montreal and Chesapeake Bay, from central New York eastward to Boston, with a detailed depiction of Vermont counties of New York and upper Connecticut River Valley. The map is on two sheets (measurements reflect assembled dimensions).
