Description:
English creamware pierced circular stand with fruit basket (HD 2006.33.21.1), both impressed "LP" for Leeds Pottery on the exterior base. John Griffin believes this mark may be the earliest impressed mark used, and which continued to be used after the introduction of the "Leeds Pottery" stamps. The stand has a wavy edge; the rim pierced and molded with a basketweave pattern; and a flat, plain well.
