Label Text: This print is signed at lower-right "Kiyomine ga" ('drawn by Kiyomine') and bears the seal of publisher Nishimuraya Yohachi of the firm Eijudō. This version of the the seal — a single mountain with swirled dots and an archaicized seal reading "Eijudō" was only used by the publisher from the ca. 1780–1809 and, along with records of known collaborations with Kiyomitsu II, has been used as the basis for dating.
The courtesans and her attendants, whose names as assistants (kamuro) and as oiran-in-training (shinzō) are both given, along with their place of employ, are written at upper-left.
