Description:
From Portfolio of Twelve Monoprinted Wood Engravings

Label Text:
Despite its position in the portfolio, this work was printed early in the series. It is based on a cross-section drawing of a gourd made in 1940 for a sculpture called Negative Volume. That work was executed during World War II while Gabo was living in Cornwall, England, near Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth.
