Description:
One of two English creamware glass stands with straight sides decorated with a pierced or openwork, stylized floral design, and molded, banded rim and base edges. This form, which was produced by a number of creamware manufacturers including Wedgwood, Leeds Pottery, Don Pottery and Castleford Potery over a long period, was used for both glass stands (averaging 3 1/2 in. in diameter) and bottle stands (averaging 5 in. in diameter). These stands were in the John B. Morris collection, #3121.
