Description:
Boat shuttle with steel spindle and brass catch. A bobbin of dark blue two ply wool is present on the spindle. There is a long, thin opening carved into the underside to reduce drag.

SKINNER CATALOG: An old maple hand shuttle, concave back and bottom, convex front. Has been modernly equipped with steel spindle and brass catch. Single eye at the middle front, now much enlarged by wear. Has had buffer wires at the ends, which are now missing. 10 1/2" x 1 5/8" x 7/8"
