Description:
An old shoemaker's hand guard or protector, consisting simply of a roughly three inch strip of leather, lapped and sewed to form a circular band, with an inch and a half circular opening cut out for the thumb. Slipped over the palm of the hand, the leather protected the hand while sewing. Diam. about 2 3/4".
