Description: Chinese export porcelain plate (small), part of a teaset in white with a gold band decoration and the initial "F" in gothic script in the center of each plate ("F" stands for Captain John Felt of Salem, Massachusetts). The set consists of 4 large plates, 17 medium plates, 20 saucers, 17 cups, 2 creamers, and 2 sugar bowls with lids. The date is difficult to determine since the styles of the pieces range from around 1800 for the sugar bowl to around 1830 for the creamers and cups.
