Description:
A horizontal 19th-century copy of a design originally by Utamaro: several women enjoying on three boats beneath a bridge, some standing, some sitting and enjoying wine, one rowing a boat. The original design consists of six prints (hexaptych): the image shown here is the lower three-print view and another three prints compose another view on the bridge with groups of women cooling off (see MH 2000.551.1.INV).
