Description:
A horizontal 19th-century copy of a design originally by Utamaro: nine women standing along a bridge with one holding a boy in arms in the middle. The original design consists of six prints (hexaptych): the image shown here is the top three-print view and another three prints compose another view beneath the bridge with groups of women sailing boats (see MH 2000.551.2.INV).
