Description:
Image of a woman's face with her hair hanging down on each side, a jewel hanging over her forehead. Building in the right background, flowers in the right foreground. This image is an illustration from a book by the same name, written by Henriette Célarié. The book contains short stories of native Moroccan women’s daily lives that are told from an imperialistic perspective that both romanticizes and exoticizes their day-to-day experiences.
