Description: View of the main facade of the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterno, which recedes diagonally into the distance on the right. To right of the facade is the palace and in the left foreground there is wall upon which four men sit and stand. There are more people, carriages, and fragmentary ruins in the open space of the piazza. Beneath the image is an inscription with the title - noting that the new facade's architecture is by Alessandro Galilei - and a key to the numbered elements of the composition.

2: Palazzo fabricato da Sisto V. ora Conser. di Zitelle [Palace built by Sixtus V now the Conservatory of Zitelle]
