Description:
Document case or dispatch case made of oilcloth decorated with a stencilled stylized flower and leaf design in gold on the front and the top of the lid. The lid and front of the rectangular-shaped purse are outlined with a gold band. The lid, which is an extension of the back, was held to the front with a loop (now missing) that would have attached to the oilcloth-covered button on the center front. The edging on the lidis frayed. The interior is lined with a striped cotton in blue, green, and brown.
