Description: Woman's white cotton netted reticule or drawstring bag with a drawstring top with a tassel and gathered fringe, and a netted body with a diamond-shaped embroidered center on each side. The bag came with an index card: "Netted bag, white, with fancy diamond shaped piece of padded work on each side. A very beautiful piece of handwork. Inch cotton frill at top, drawstring with tassell. Belonged to and made by Nancy Blossom, sister of my great grandfather, David Goodrich." There is a Nancy Bidwell Blossom (1787-1864) who married Seth Blossom (1784-1859) of Wells, Vermont; one of Seth's sister was Polly Blossom (b.1793) who married Daniel Goodrich (1785-1852) of Wells, Vermont, in 1806.
