Description:
Chinese export porcelain waste bowl, part of a partial teaset consisting of five pieces, including a teapot, tea canister with lid, cream pot, and teacup. The circular waste bowl with flared sides and rim, over an applied foot ring. The two opposite sides have a hilly landscape scene with a castle and trees, painted in sepia tones of burnt ochre and brown and encircled with gilt and brown. The inside rim is encircled by a geometric dot border pattern enclosed by brown and gilt lines.
