Description:
English pearlware figure group titled "Contest (also known as "Squabble"), painted with overglaze enamel colors of orange, green, yellow, brown, and light blue. The press-molded figural group shows a portly boy and two girls fighting over a hat filled with fruit, with a bocage or tree behind the group. The title "Contest" is painted on the rectangular base.
