Description:
Silver tablespoon with a downturned pointed-end handle and oval bowl, which is marked "IP" in a rectangle and engraved with the initials "S / IM" on the front of the handle. Although originally thought to be the mark of Isaac Parker, the touchmark has not yet been conclusively identified. There were several other contemporary silversmiths using an "IP" touchmark.
