Description:
Collar or fichu made of embroidered cotton mull that was hand-embroidered using satin, buttonhole, and stem stitches. Accoridng to the donor, the collar was made by her grandmother, Clara Louise Christine Becker Cock who came from Alsace Lorraine to Detroit, Michigan, in the early 19th century and married a Mr. Toepel. Condition: very soiled.
