Description:
Wholecloth-type, pieced, cotton quilt made of four panels (3 lengths of 25 1/2in and one of 16 1/2in) across of English printed cotton in faded red on white with stylized scrolls, flowers and leaves between rows of a lace-like pattern, which was probably roller-printed because of the small 12" repeat, and straight applied binding. There is a four-piece, plain weave, cotton backing printed overall with small red and brown dots on a tan ground; cotton batting; and quilting in a grid pattern at 7 quilting stitches per inch.
