Description:
Child's petticoat in cream wool flannel with a scalloped bottom edge, embroidered in cream pearlized cotton with a grapevine design, and with cream silk ribbon waistband and ties. The attached note in the data file reads: "ECP's little girl petticoat embroidered / by Mrs. Campbell (Irish washerwoman) / ECP to JMC 7/10/81." "ECP" is Evelyn Burrington Coombs Pennegar (b.1885), the aunt of Richard Coombs, and "JMC" is the donor, Jeanne Matschuk Coombs. Formerly HD F.1021?
