Description:
Unframed etching titled "Morning Mist" by Arthur Negus Fuller (1879-1945), the youngest son of Deerfield artist, George Fuller (1822-1884) and his wife, Agnes Gordon Higginson Fuller. Arthur lived in Boston in his early years (Harvard, 1902), studied at the Art Students' League in NYC, and was founder of the Deerfield Valley Art Association (c. 1926); he owned the "Little Brown House" from 1918-1926. PVMA owns a set of Fuller etchings, including a signed and numbered one of this print. This etching was printed in an edition of 50; this example was either an artist's proof or a late number in the edition. The print depicts a house, probably "The Little Brown House" on Albany Road, large elm tree, view of an open road with a woman standing on the road, and other houses in the distance.
