Description:
Woman's (child's?) small lace day cap with cotton appliques and made in two pieces. The appliques are in florals, circles and 4 rows of zig-zags, scalloped edge, and are stitched on to background using a chain stitch indicative of Belgium make (referred to as "Belgium muslin applique"). The crown is slightly gathered; the brim is 2.5" deep; and the cap probably sits far back on head.

Textile fabrics; Cotton
