Description:
Pair of white linen pillowcases, each stamped in black ink with "Nancy W. Patten." surrounded by a motif of two kissing doves and hearts. The open end of each pillowcase features two rows of drawn or pulled work. One pillowcase is further marked "NO. 18" and the other "NO. 19." Each pillowcase is constructed on one longer end with a whip or overcast stitched seam, tightly stitched. The shorter closed end is possibly back stitched. Seam allowance is loosely basted.
