Description:
Woman's sunbonnet of brown and white checkered cotton with ecru cotton lace trim. Fabric is starched, but has no interlining for stiffness. Brim is 5" deep, bavolet is 6", crown is 4" deep. 1.5" Lace is inserted between crown and brim, and sewn along brim edge. 18" long, 2.5" wide self ties (selvege edge used along inside length); also ties in back (23"x2") to tighten fit (rather than draw string for instance).
