Description:
Redware jar with a bulbous body with a wide, irregularly-shaped open mouth, tall neck and two molded lug handles, covered with brown slip over the upper half of the body. The jar is decorated with scattered black sponged spots, and horizontal incised lines around the neck, and horizontal and wavy incised lines around the upper half of the body. Part of Potter Inventory No. 782. Current attribution provided by American ceramics scholar Justin Thomas, 1/16/2019.
