Description: Man's two piece suit, coat and breeches, of yellow brocaded silk in a diaper pattern, embroidered with metallic decoration and silk threads. The coat has a narrow silhouette, with long, narrow skirts that taper to the backof the garment. There is shaded polychrome satin stitch embroidery of flowers and palms or feathers, as well as pailletes and a spiral wrapped metal cord, around the front closure of the coat, pocket flaps, cuffs, and skirts. The buttons, which also display the embroidery, pailletes, and wrapped cord, are as follows: eight down the front; three under each pocket flap; three at each cuff (one missing on left cuff); and buttons on the back skirts. There is a narrow stand up collar. The breeches are fitted with a full seat. There is a drop front secured with two buttons. There is one decorated button (as seen on the coat) to secure each of the two pocket flaps. Waistband has twelve self fabric covered buttons in the front, as well as buckle and tie closure at the center back to tighten. Breeches close below each knee with five buttons of self fabric. Embroidered band at each knee, tightened with self fabric button as well.
