The breeches are now a black color, but may have been a grey or brown. The breeches have a fall-front closure, secured by self fabric buttons, with a vertical closure of matching buttons underneath. There are flap pocket on either side of fall front, each secured by matching buttons, and a welt pochet above flap, proper right side. The waistband secured by matching self fabric buttons, center front, and a center back lacing. The seat is full. The legs are fitted and extend to just below the knees. Each leg is secured by four smaller self fabric buttons and a brass? buckle closure. Only waistband and center front seam are faced in an off-white linen, suggesting these lighter weight silk breeches were worn for summer or warmer weather. Overall length: 31"; side seam length: 26.375"; waist measurement about 32" (buttoned and CB gusset fully extended).
