Description:
Pair of woman's white leather shoes or slippers dating to the 1820s. Each shoe has a pair of metal hooks on the inside side edges for fastening ribbons over the instep and ankles (now missing). Inside one of the shoes is a green label with black lettering "Wm. Ryan & Co./ Makers/ No. 16 S. 4th St. Phila."
