Description:
Fragments of blue and white checked linen fragments spun by Lucretia Hall (1773-1851), the wife of Joel Hall (1771-1850) of Charlemont who married in 1793 in Wallingford, Connecticut. The Halls raised sheep in East Charlemont, and Lucretia spun, dyed and wove the wool using her own designs for the coverlets.
