Description:
Textile fragment made from a scrap of a crewel embroidered coverlet decorated with floral sprays and an acanthus leaf shape in blues and roses.

Label Text:
This piece of wool-embroidered linen was probably once part of something larger like a bed hanging. Evidence of quilting suggests a second life as a bed covering. Its current form transcends any practical use, revealing a portable, keepsake heirloom, bound on its raw edges to prevent unraveling.
