Description:
Man's suit consisting of coat, waistcoat, and breeches with the coat and breeches in a matching shot green and pink silk, and the waistcoat in cream colored satin silk. Extensive polychrome chain-stitch embroidery on the coat front edges and pocket flaps, as well as on the waistcoat front. Chain-stitch embroidery also found on the buttons of the coat, waistcoat, and breeches (at knee closures). The coat is long and has a narrow silhouette with the skirts curving towards the back. There are ten buttons down the front, four on the back skirt vents, three on each cuff, and three on each pocket flap. Waistcoat with nine buttons on the front closure and three on each pocket flap. The back of the waistcoat is fitted by means of ribbon ties and a buckle. There is linen and buckram interfacing. Fall front breeches secured by buttoning. Buttoned pocket on either side of fall front. Breeches end just below knee and each leg is secured by four tambour buttons. Full seat.
