Description:
English pearlware, press-molded figure titled "Contest" with three children painted in overglaze enamels including green, red, blue, pink, yellow, and brown. The center boy holds out a hat with a birds nest filled with eggs, as the two girls on either side of him grab for the eggs. The figures are backed by a bocage or tree, and stand on a rocky outcropping over a square base painted with the word "Contest". The underside is painted in black ink with "F14/ CK".
