Description:
English delft circular plate decorated in blue with stylized, dark-blue square foliage on long curving stems. The rim has four groups of stylized square foliage sprigs on curving stems. Fragments with this pattern have been found in excavations at Limekiln Lane in Bristol, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Dr. Thomas Williams House privy site in Historic Deerfield. The Frenchs found the plate in Millers Falls, MA.
