Description:
English delft circular plate decorated in blue on a light pink glaze with stylized central decoration of dark blue rhomboidal shaped foliage on long, thin curving stems. The rim has four groups of stylized square foliage sprigs on curving stems, one of which is smeared. The Frenchs found the plate in Connecticut. Fragments with this pattern have been found in excavations at Limekiln Lane in Bristol, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Dr. Thomas Williams House privy site in Historic Deerfield.
