Description:
English delft hexagonal plate with blue decoration. The well is decorated with a chinoiserie landscape scene of a large Chinese house behind walls; a pagoda with an extended pole with an "X" shape on the top; trees, rocks, a bridge leading off to the foreground; and in the background, an island with a tree, which has an extended line from the top similar to that on the pagoda. The curvature has band of trellis-work and three panels with foliate stems. The rim has three scrolling floral designs. The under-rim has three blue herbal sprig markings.
