Description:
English delft circular plate with blue decoration. The plate is decorated with an edge-to-edge chinoiserie garden scene with a six-part running fence, hollow rocks, two flowers, and three tall branching bamboos. The stylized hollow rocks with flowers growing on them, which along with the tall bamboo is a common Liverpool decoration, are 'tufa', a volcanic rock found in Chinese decorations.
