Description:
English lusterware mustard pot with a handle decorated with silver luster. The object is composed of two molded pieces; the lid has a round knob finial with an octagonal shape and flutes. The base is octagonal in shape with an attached curved handle, and ribbed flutes around the exterior of the pot and an octagonal foot, the body of the clay is red. The EH Williams 1838 probate inventory listed: "1 tea pot luster and creamer ... .20".
