Description:
English small, "Jackfield"-type, pear-shaped teapot, covered with a black glaze, with a S-shaped spout, crabstock handle, and lid with a mushroom cap finial. "Jackfield"-type ceramics, or "blackwares" as they were known in the period, were a common form of English ceramic exported to the American market.
