Description:
English creamware, pear-shaped caster with a domed lid and flaring foot. This ceramic form directly relates to similar silver forms, and was used to sprinke sugar and other dry condiments on top of food. The lid is pierced with small holes; the underside of the caster has a hole for filling with a cork inserted.
