Description:
One of six ironstone dishes with a press-molded body in white with gilt foliate and line decoration. The set, which includes a teapot, four plates, six dishes, and two cup plates, belonged to the donor's aunt who married in 1900; the set had been in her husband's family who lived in Bennington, Vermont, where one of the family worked at the Bennington Pottery. The donor broke the large sugar bowl.
