Description: Chinese export porcelain champfered oval platter with mottled surface decorated in green, yellow, rose, purple, iron red, brown, and black. The center well decoration has two iron red, yellow, green, and blue birds (cranes?) facing toward each other surrounded by purple, yellow, and rose blossoms and some scattered green leaves. Green and brown horizon ground with grass brushstrokes below. Cavetto decoration at edge has brown and gilt bamboo circlet punctuated by four areas of rose, purple, blue, yellow, blossoms and green leaves. Rim has bouquets and sprigs of yellow, rose, purple, and blue blossoms. Moulded edge has band with yellow, rose, and green wide striping and rose flourish ends. There is a brownish underglaze enamel rim.
