Description:
Flemish tape lace, handmade toile centers and brides. A piece of Duchesse de Bruges lace 1860-1875. This lace piece is assembled from machine made tapes and handmade brides. Large flowing design of trefoils and large pods with double plaited brides. The design is reminiscent of earlier pieces. This is a typical piece made for the tourist trade.
