Description:
Round, stoneware ink bottle covered in a lustrous, iron-rich, brown slip over a grey body. The straight-sided, cylindrical container has a slightly concave base and a raised short, lipped lip banded with incised or raised concentric circles. There are two scribe marks on the shoulder; and a white label that reads "R 167" on the base.
